Musée des Arts et Métiers in Paris.

This is the museum of the Conservatoire des Arts et Métiers (C.N.A.M.).

A superb and inspiring museum, housed in historic buildings, with numerous items of great historical importance on display. Displays are clearly labelled in French and English.

The quantity and quality of the exhibits are sufficient to encourage numerous return visits. An object lesson to those curators who seem to believe that technical museums are improved by purging historic artefacts and by aiming at young children as their target audience.
