Nant-y-glo and Blaina Iron Works Co, of 5 Queen Anne's Gate, Westminster
1871 The Blaina Iron and Coal Co purchased the Nantyglo and Beaufort Ironworks, and was renamed the Nantyglo and Blaina Iron Works Company (Limited) with John Richardson as managing director [1]
1871 The company was registered on 25 July. [2]
1873 The Nantyglo and Blaina ironworks company was in financial difficulties, aggravated by the heavy rains of late 1872 which had flooded several of its coalmines.
By 1874 The Nantyglo and Beaufort works had both been closed. Blaina ironworks remained in production as it used small coal unsuitable for the market.
1878 Worsening conditions saw all the assets sold off in 1878
