National Computing Centre
1965 Announcement by the Ministry of Technology that it would establish a National Computing Centre, located in Manchester; it would be an independent, non-profit making company, limited by guarantee. Its purpose was to provide information about programs, promote development of programs and encourage the training of staff[1]
2004 A spin-off company, NCC Group, providing a back-up repository for software and an assurance service on IT security for clients, was incorporated as a public company with its shares quoted on the AIM[2]
2007 NCC Group was quoted on the main list of the London Stock Exchange[3]
