Noel Penny Turbines of Coventry.

1972 Founded by Noel Penny. Edwin Ponsford was chairman

1973 The company had recruited specialists from Rolls-Royce, Lucas and British Leyland Gas Turbines[1]

1982 In a decade the company had grown from a dozen employees to 265 of whom nearly a third, were graduates engaged in small gas turbine R and D. In 1982 the company was working for several US corporations and the US army. They also worked for Japan and Germany on different projects.[2]
