WWII with government support built a fabrication works at Rogerstone, Mons., which was purchased by the company in 1946
1950 Installed large continuous strip-rolling mill[4]
1958 Raised capital by issue of new shares; the parent company, Aluminium Ltd, took up half of the shares[5]
1960 Name changed to Alcan Industries (or Alindustries), to emphasise its connections with its parent company, Aluminium Ltd of Canada[6]. It was one of the subsidiaries of Alcan (U.K.)
1960 Installed new wide hot rolling mill at Rogerstone[7]
