Ovid Topham 1780-1848, of Ovid Topham and Sons. The sons were Charles and George. Their partnership was dissolved in 1851.[1]

1837 Patent sealed 5 October for a sluice valve, intended to provide reliable, low maintenance service on underground pipelines. [2] [3]
1848 Died on 9 May, aged 68. Address: Hornsey Road, Holloway.[4]
