1892 The generating station of the Oxford Electric Co was commissioned; it was located at Osney, with a substation and the company's offices in Broad Street, Oxford. Contractors were Electric Construction Co under the supervision of Thomas Parker[1]
The Electric Construction Co supplied a "continuous-current" transformer to Oxford Central Lighting Station[2].
