1829 Advertisement: TO BE SOLD BY AUCTION, At the Pant and Aberderfyn Iron Works, on Monday the 25th day of May, 1829. in lots, A BLAST ENGINE, 46 inch steam cylinder, 7 feet stroke, 75 horse power, 87 inch blowing cylinder, equal to blow four furnaces, with three excellent boilers, steam and water pipes, water regulator, 2 feet pipes, with four blast boxes to the two furnaces, 1 complete; together with 40 yards of 15 inch pump trees, two 14 inch working barrels, pump rods, buckets, and clocks [clacks?], complete, to supply the engine with T conventing [condensing?] water. A 12 horse PUMPING ENGINE, with one boiler, and steam pipes connected, with spur wheels, crank, and beam, to 46 yards of 10 inch pump trees, and a 9 inch working barrel, with wrought iron rods, - bucket, and clock, complete. An 18 horse power WINDING ENGINE, with two boilers, and steam pipes connected ; spur wheels, and shafts, two cast iron drums, two cable chains, 3-8ths and 7-16ths diameter, and pit heads to the two yard coal pits, complete. A 4 horse power WINDING ENGINE, with one boiler, steam pipes, shafts, and spur wheels complete, for winding out of five pits. An entire NEW BLAST ENGINE, never worked, 32 inch steam cylinder, 66 inch blowing cylinder, 8 feet stroke, 37 horse power, with 3 boilers, steam pipes, and water regulator, and 18 inch pipes, and four blast boxes to the two furnaces, complete. , An entire NEW PUMPING and WINDING ENGINE, 30 horse power, never worked, with boiler and steam pipes, fly spur wheels and shafts, with excellent cast iron framing at the pit; 2 cast iron beams and carriages, 120 yards of 9 inch pump trees, 1 eight inch working barrel, and a forcer for the top lift. And also, all the Iron Railways, Machinery, and other effects on the premises. TO BE LET, THE PANT AND ABERDERFYN IRON WORKS aforesaid, which are situate between the village of Ruabon and the town of Wrexham, in the county of Denbigh, 2 miles from the former, and 3 from the latter place.
