1911 Obituary [1]

PAUL GEORGE JACOBS, born in 1854 at Rangoon, died at Calcutta on the 9th April, 1910.

After passing through Coopers Hill College, he joined the Indian Public Works Department in 1886, and from that time until his death he was employed on irrigation and other works in Darjeeling, Sikkim, Behar and other parts of India, having charge for several years of the Circular and Eastern Canals division. He was a Commissioner of the Calcutta Corporation.

Mr. Jacobs was elected an Associate Member of The Institution on the 5th May, 1891.
