'Like many freelance photographers, Peter Pitt, travelled a great deal in Britain and on the Continent, and to help him cope with his photographic work he decided to build himself a home on wheels, a conversion of an Austin 152 Omnivan. The result was that those who saw it became so enthusiastic that he decided to start his own business as a coachbuilder with facilities for making up to 300 vehicles per month...[1]
