Princes Ltd. is a UK based food manufacturer originally specialising in canned foods, but now produce a range of food and drink products.
1880 Established in Liverpool by Simpson and Roberts, trading canned meats and vegetables.
1946 moved to Southport and began food manufacturing.
1960 set up a European base in the Netherlands.
1968 Acquired by J. Bibby and Sons.[1]
1976 Princes was acquired by Buitoni (becoming Princes Buitoni)
1988 Buitoni was acquired by Nestle
1989 the Mitsubishi Corporation bought Princes from Nestlé.
Princes Limited brands include Napolina (50%), Shippam's, Crisp 'n Dry, Cookeen, Mazola, Vier Diamanten, Aqua-Pura, Jucee, Princes Real, Flora, Olivio, Virgin Cola, Cape and Ocean Spray.
2002 Associated British Foods acquired Mazola
