1905 Two directors were Archibald and William Fraser who took over the Wanlockhead lead mines

1919 The shale oil companies, including Pumpherston Oil, were amalgamated as Scottish Oils

1936 Scottish Oils was one of the UK's suppliers of petrol[2].
