Robert Anthony Edwards Scott

c.1817 Born in East Buckland, Devon[1]

1841 R A E Scott (Mate) was awarded the silver medal by the Royal Humane Society

1842 Lieutenant R A E Scott was appointed to HMS Vixen[2]

1851 Lieutenant RN (half pay) at Woolwich Arsenal; living with his wife Madeline Scott 23[3]

1864 Associate of the Institution of Naval Architects; presented a paper on "On the Principles of Construction and the Armament of Iron Clads."[4]
