1956 Private company. Joint venture of Rank Organisation with Haloid Corporation to manufacture and market a new "electro-photographic" process[1].

Rank's large investment in Rank-Xerox paid off handsomely after 4-5 years.

1961 Manufacturers and distributors of xerographic equipment utilising a dry electro-photographic process known as "xerography". Products include "Xerox914 office copier"; "Xerox Copyflo Continuous Printer" for high volume copying from microfilm or original documents at 20ft per minute; "Xerox 1824 Copyflo Printer" for enlarging xerographically from microfilm frames inserted in specially punched cards; "Xerox 1385 Flat Plate Xerographic Equipment" for making offset litho, dyeline and spirit duplicating masters or copies up to foolscap size; "Xerox 1318 Flat Plate Xerographic Equipment" for making offset litho and dyline masters or copies up to 13" x 18". 150 employees.

1966 Was part of Rank Precision Industries[2]

1972 Rank ceded control of Rank-Xerox to its American partners[3].

1997 Rank Group sold its remaining holdings in Rank-Xerox[4]
