1830 William Keates started the Ravenhead Copper Works, smelting copper ore from Arosa in Venezuela.
1837 the Llanelly Copper Works Co formed a partnership with John Bibby and Co, who acted as their agents in Liverpool, under the name the Liverpool Rolling Mill Company to operate a copper rolling mill at Seacombe.
1852 NOTICE is hereby given, that the Copartnership heretofore
subsisting between us the undersigned, Humphry Willyams, Richard Janion Nevill, Alexander Druce, Morgan Thomas, George Treherne Thomas, Thomas Devas, Charles William Nevill, John Bibby, and James Jenkinson Bibby, carrying on business as Copper Smelters and Dealers in Copper Ore and Copper at Liverpool and Ravenhead, in the county of Lancaster, under the name or firm of the Ravenhead Copper Company, has been dissolved by mutual consent, as from the 30th day of April, 1852, so
far as regards the said Humphry Willyams, Richard Janion Nevill, Alexander Druce, Morgan Thomas, George Treherne Thomas, Thomas Devas, and Charles William Nevill, who retire from the said Ravenhead Copper Company.
