On Thursday and Friday the 25th and 26th days of May instant, (by order of the Assignees), on the Premises in Chapel-walks, Manchester, late in the occupation of Messrs. Rice and Travis, Machine Makers:
The whole of their Valuable and Extensive STOCK IN TRADE, comprising an excellent Slide Lathe, Eight Finishing Lathes, with Headstocks, Benches, and an extensive assortment of Turning Tools, with the Shafts, Drums, and Geering belonging thereto ; a great variety of Castings, suitable for Power Looms, Throstles, &c.; Two Scale Beams, Bottoms, and Sundry Iron Weights; a quantity of Pig and Wrought Iron, Steel: Forty-five Moulding Boxes, and Bottoms ; Blast Furnace complete, Bellows, Anvils, Vices; Founders', Smiths', and Machine Makers' Tools, and a large quantity of well seasoned Timber, together with the general Requisites for carrying on the business of a Machine Maker, on an extensive scale.—Catalogues may be had one week before the Sale, at Messrs. 'The creditors who have proved their debts under the separate estate of THOMAS TRAVIS, Manchester, in the county of Lancaster, machine-maker, dealer and chapman, formerly in partnership with John Rice, may receive a dividend the amount of their respective debts, applying at the office - Mr. Thomas Peet.
