1878 He joined Singer and stayed until 1895
1895 Founder of Lea-Francis
1903 Lea-Francis built cars, under licence, for the Singer company.
1905 Singer produced their first four wheel car under licence from Lea-Francis.
1911 Living at 25 Queen's Road, Coventry (age 53 born Lutterworth), a Cycle manufacturer and Employer and Widower. With his sons Norman Lea (age 20 born Coventry), an Engineering Student, and Alan (age 18 born Coventry), a Motor Engineering Turner. Also his aunt Maria Flinn (age 65 born Coventry), Single.
