Richard Hodge Francis (1838-1895), chairman of Victorian Railways
1838 1838 February 1st. Born at St. Cleer, Liskard, Cornwall, the son of John Francis and his wife Jenny. Baptised 27th Feb.
1861 Living at Resprise Vills, St. Winnow, Cornwall: Richard H. Francis (age 23 born St. Cleer), Station Master. With his sister Fanny Polkinghorne (age 26 born Kenwyn) and her children.[1] Presumably the station master at Lostwithiel on the Cornwall Railway which had opened in 1859.
1862 Emigrated to Melbourne, Australia
1867 Married at St. Kilda, to Kate Johnson
1892-94 Chairman of Victorian Railways
1895 Died. Of Martin Street, Easternwick. His widow was Flora Margaret Francis
