Richard James Trahar (1827-1882)
1827 Born in Truro the son of Hopson Woolcock Trahar (1786-1875), blacksmith, and his wife Mary Yellanda (1787-1851)
1853 Emigrated to Australia with his 17-year old wife Emily Johns where they had six children of whom three died as infants
Went to Ballarat as a gold-digger
Later set up as a blacksmith which later became the Yarrowee Foundry
1882 His wife died and soon after Richard died aged 55
