Second son of William Pilkington

He spent some time with his father's firm, Pilkington Brothers

1851 of Wolsingham, near Darlington (is this the same person? the only Pilkington who was a member of IMechE in 1864)

1854 Engineer of St. Helens, Lancashire, became a member of the IMechE

Later moved to London
