The Roseland Vale Iron Works, Near Liskeard,
Comprising a Hammer Mill, Foundry, Smithery, Edge-tool Shop, Pattern Shop, Coke Oven, and Store with Railway Carriage, Crane and other con- veniences, Store Houses and Offices within a spacious enclosed Yard, and nearly half an Acre of Land attached, and having the advantage of a large and never failing stream of water.
The Buildings are substantial and in good repair. The Machinery is in excellent working trim, comprising a Mill, with three tilt Hammers, a very powerful and excellent pair of Cylinders, for blowing the hollow fires, and a superior Fan, four feet in diameter for casting, with a Grinding Mill attached, a valuable turning Lathe, and an Engiue for boring pumps for Mines.
The rich and prosperous Mines of South and West Caradon, are in the immediate neighbourhood, several others are rapidly increasing in importance, and the district is fast assuming a very extensive mining appearance.
The Trade which has hitherto been considerable, may be much increased at a small outlay.
The Premises are situate in the midst of a very rich and fertile Agricultural district, and two miles and a half distant from tbe head of the Liskeard and Looe Canal, where Coals and all other requisites may be procured at but little expense of land carriage.
