1912 The Glasgow and West of Scotland Technical College was renamed the Royal Technical College

1913 The Royal Technical College was affiliated to the University of Glasgow so that courses leading to degree qualifications could be taken there or partly at both places.

1964 Became part of the University of Strathclyde on its formation.
