RUSSELL TIPPETTS, born at Plymouth in 1874, died at St. John’s Wood on the 17th August, 1913.
He obtained his engineering training at the London and South Western Railway Works and with the late Mr. Jabez Church and Messrs. Santo Crimp and Taylor.
Subsequently he was appointed Assistant Engineer to the Birmingham Corporation, and later was engaged on the sewerage, main drainage and waterworks at Vera Cruz for the contractors. He also carried out water-supply works in Columbia and railways in Brazil, and was last employed on the construction of a pier and wharf at Calabar.
Mr. Tippetts was elected an Associate Member of The Institution on the 3rd April, 1900.
