1851 Sampson Lloyd 43, ironmaster, lived in West Bromwich, with Sarah D Lloyd 33, Sampson T Lloyd 8, Francis H Lloyd 6, and his cousin Sampson L Foster 19, banker's son[1]

1859 Married Louisa Laura Whitmore in Tettenhall[2]

1861 Sampson Lloyd Foster, Old Park Iron Works, Wednesbury.[3]

1861 Sampson Lloyd Foster 29, ironmaster and engineer, lived in Walsall with Louisa Laura Foster 26, Constance Mary Foster 1, Laura Josephine Foster 1 month[4]

SAMPSON LLOYD FOSTER, second son of the late Mr. Sampson Foster, was born at Fakenham on 7th August 1831, and died at Ealing on 31st March 1879.

He was for some time an active partner in the firm of Lloyds Fosters and Co., Old Park Iron Works, Wednesbury.

He retired from the firm in 1866, and from that time was chiefly engaged as director of several mining and other companies.

He became a Member of the Institution in 1861.
