Company founded by Samuel Barrow MP[1]

1876 The Grange Tannery, previously run by Samuel Barrow and Brothers was now run by Samuel Barrow and Brother. [2]

Carried out business in Britain on behalf of George Whitechurch Ltd, leather makers and dealers with factories in France[3]

1878 Messrs. Samuel Barrow, and Brother, of Weston-street, Bermondsey, in the county of Surrey, Tanners, were creditors in a petition[4]

1891 Incorporated as a Limited Company.

1914 Managing Director: Samuel Barrow (junior). Specialities: Leathers for the boot and shoe trade, and for the coach and harness trades.

1920 Public company, Barrow, Hepburn and Gale, was incorporated to merge 2 companies - Samuel Barrow and Brother and Hepburn, Gale and Ross[5]
