1854 Partner in Lowe, Saloway, and Yates, Carpet Manufacturers of Bridgnorth, with Edward Lowe and Benjamin Saloway, when Lowe left the partnership; with Benjamin Saloway he continued the business[2].

1871 Living at the Carpet Factory, Fugglestone St. Peter: Samuel Pardoe Yates (age 46 born Kidderminster), Manager of Carpet Factory. With his wife Rachel, one son and three daughters.[3]

1874 Died in Wilton. Samuel Pardoe Yates, the Royal Wilton Carpet Factory.[4]
