1928 November. Died. 'The death occurred at Bristol yesterday of Mr. Samuel White, chairman of the Bristol Tramways Company and of the Bristol Aeroplane Company. He had been more or less invalid for the past two years. He helped his brother, the late Sir George White, to build up the tramways system at Bristol, and introduced there the first electric car in the country. The brothers were also pioneers of electric street traction in London, and assisted Sir George's son, now Sir Stanley White, were interested very early in aviation. Mr. Samuel White, who was a bachelor, was for many years leading member, and lately chairman, the Bristol Stock Exchange'[2]
