Samuel William Worssam (1809-1869) of Samuel Worssam and Co
1809 Born in London the son of John Worssam and his wife Ann Jarvis. Brother of Charles Worssam and George Jervis Worssam.
1835 Partnership dissolved. '...the Partnership existing; between us, Charles Worssam and Samuel Worssam, of Bankside, Southwark, in the County of Surrey, as Sawyers and Engineers, is this day dissolved by mutual consent...'[1]
1841 March 20th. An engineer, when he married at Lovell Warminster to Jane Jennette Smith; his father John Worssam was also an engineer[2]
Worssam established a small factory in King's Road, Chelsea, for making saw-mill machinery.
1851 An engineer, living in Chelsea, with Jennette Worssam 32, William Worssam 9, Charles Worssam 7, Eliza Worssam 5, Fara R Worssam 2[3]
1851 Samuel William Worssam (who appeared before Mr Commissioner Law) was known, sued, and committed as Samuel Worssam, formerly of Holland-street, Blackfriars-road, Surrey, Proprietor of Saw-mills, then of Bath, Somerset, Journeyman Engineer, then of Bathwich, Wiltshire, Engineer, then of Kingsland-road, Middlesex, Journeyman Engineer, then of Great Mitchell-street, Saint Luke's, Engineer, in partnership with George Worssam, as George Worsam and Co.[4]

1861 Living at 3/6 Kings Road, Chelsea: Samuel Worssam (age 52 born London), Engineer. With his wife Jannette Worssam (age 42 born Wilts.) and their children; William S. Worssam (age 18 born Mddx.), Engineer; Charles Worssam (age 16 born Mddx.); Eliza Worssam (age 14 born Mddx.); and Ellen Worssam (age 5 months born Mddx.). One servant.[5]
