1950 Company formed by GKN and Templeborough Rolling Mills to operate the wire rod mill transferred from GKN's Cardiff site to Scunthorpe[1].

1953 Templeborough Rolling Mills's holding in Scunthorpe Rod Mill Ltd was sold to the Iron and Steel Corporation of Great Britain[2].

1955 Private sale of John Lysaght's Scunthorpe works by the Holding and Realisation Agency[3] to GKN[4] including the wholly-owned subsidiary Scunthorpe Rod Mill Ltd.
