1953 G. D. Searle and Co Ltd was incorporated in the UK as a subsidiary of a US company of similar name.

1978 The parent company had been disposing of interests in subsidiary companies; during the year the British company sold Baird and Tatlock (London) Ltd[1]

1993 Became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Monsanto plc[2]

Became part of Pharmacia

2002 Pharmacia was acquired by Pfizer[3]
