1988 CAP Group merged with Sema Metra of France[1] forming Sema Group.

1991 Formation of JV company of SEMA Group with BAe, called BAeSEMA[2]. SEMA contributed its subsidiary YARD Ltd, the Scientific Division of SEMA Group Ltd and 50 percent of the shares in Dowty-SEMA, as well as staff, to the JV. BAe contributed cash and staff[3]
