1907 Frederick Simms obtained UK manufacturing rights from Robert Bosch for his magneto; he established The Simms Magneto Co

Due to small production runs the company could not compete with the foreign product

1913 the company closed early in 1913.

1910 the Simms Magneto Co of New Jersey was established by Frederick Simms.
