1944 The firm of W. T. Halcrow and Partners was renamed Sir William Halcrow and Partners
Post WWII projects included a series of hydroelectric schemes to generate power for public consumption for the North of Scotland Hydro-Electric Board including the Glen Affric scheme, started in 1947, and the Glen Garry and Glen Moriston, schemes and those at Strathfarrar and Kilmorack.
1952 TheClaerwen Dam and, later, the Clywedog Dam, to supply the towns and cities of the English West Midlands.
Designed the third Woodhead Tunnel railway tunnel which was opened om 1954.
1955 Potters Bar railway tunnel
Initial work on the new Victoria Line beneath central London.
The firm is now known as Halcrow Group Limited.
By 2007, projects outside the UK accounted for around half the company's turnover.
