1873 Founded by Joseph Cadman and James Fish as the Star Tea Company. Soon, many towns in England had their own Star Supply Store.

1922 The company, which had over 300 shops, bought Ridgways, a leading tea blender

1927 'Star Tea Company, Ltd, proprietors of the Star Supply Stores, and holders of all the Ordinary shares of Ridgeways.'[1]

1929 Acquired by International Tea Company's Stores.
