1937 Castings in Elektron (magnesium) and aluminium alloys. [3]. Sterling Metals made Birmid Industries a leader in magnesium foundry work[4].

1963 Motor Show exhibitor. Cast iron cylinder blocks and heads. Of Gipsy Lane, Nuneaton. [5]
1982 By now was part of the Birmid Qualcast (Foundries). Specialised in diesel engine blocks and aerospace, missiles, turbine and road wheels.[6]
