TO SOLD BY AUCTION, By JAMES FROST, On Wednesday and Thursday the 28th and 29th days March instant, (by order of the assignees of [[Christopher Stones]]), on the premises lately occupied by him, situated at Knott Mill, Manchester: The whole of the MACHINERY, (great part as good as new, having lately undergone a complete repair,) used in the Preparing and Spinning of Cotton, comprising one willow, one picker, with double rollers ; five carding engines, 40 inches on the wire, with working rollers and flats ; thirty-seven carding engines, 18 inches on the wire; one drawing frame, with six double heads; one drawing frame, with four double heads ; and one with two double beads; three stubbing frames, 24 spindles each, (by [[Thomas Hewes|Hewes]];) three bobbin and fly frames, spindles each ; two stretching frames, spindles each ; one stretching frame, spindles six mules, 204 spindles each ; two mules, spindles each ; two mules, two hundred and sixty-four spindles each; and fourteen mules, 276 spindles each, with 16 and 16½ inch rollers, and 14 and 14½ spindles; eleven throstles, 120 spindles each ; four throstles, 100 spindles each; with all the cross shafting, bevel wheels, counter, drums. &c, most of these throstles are the best possible condition; also one nearly new winding machine, (by Taylor), 120 spindles ; two thirty-hank and four forty-hank bobbin reels, with brass spindle boxes and loose spindles; several grinding machines, shafts, counters, drivers, gallowses, cotton cans, filers' vices, spreading tables and rollers, card scales, metal, &c. &c Sale to commence each day at ten o'clock.
