What we do, in a nutshell.

We're a small team of volunteers and office staff sharing the same passion - to preserve our industrial past. Our sole aim is to publish the history of the companies, products and people that have contributed to Britain's renowned engineering legacy, from the birth of the Industrial Revolution to recent achievements.
'''Material Support

'''Researchers:''' We are always keen to acquire new researchers and writers with specialist knowledge of industrial subjects who can freely contribute to the project.

What makes us different?

'''Memories:''' We encourage you to add memories of working for these companies. We believe it is important to preserve living memories of these important industrial and engineering organisations.
We're online based, and free to use for everybody. Anybody can access and use the material we publish free of charge and we want to keep it that way.

'''Publications:''' We seek early magazines, books and other publications that we can use for this project. We have facilities to safely store all items received.
We're proud to be a not-for-profit project with a sole purpose to preserve information that without digitisation, may be lost in time without a trace.

'''Photographs:''' We need early photographs and modern day images of landmarks, companies, machinery that can be used in the project.
Many digitised texts, engravings and photographs you find on Grace's Guide are difficult or near impossible to access or source anywhere else. We don't only publish details on the popular pioneers, leading merchandise and famous firms, but salvage rare and forgotten books and publications, living memories and academic research.

'''Endorsements:''' We would appreciate your leaving feedback about the pages you have visited.

If I donate, where does my money go?

'''Contact us:''' Use [[Contact_Us|Contact Us]] or email 'editor' at GracesGuide.co.uk if you can help with any of these.
Money you donate will pay for staff salaries, technology and up-keep of our library and publication archives. The charity employs a handful of people in the office working with specialist volunteers across the country. We word hard to write, edit and maintain the up-keep of the website for all to use without restriction. Your support will also contribute to the technical and digital software we use to preserve the information we collect.
