An impressive and welcoming museum, with free admission. Set in an interesting location next to a marina (former dock), where four of the museum's historic vessels are moored.

Fans of the former Swansea Industrial & Maritime Museum will regret the loss of its fascinating working machinery, but overall the new museum has much to offer, and is well worth a visit, with something for everyone. The industrial area in the new hall provides an excellent mix of historic artefacts, large and small, together with informative and interesting factual information and films of local industries in action. Far less satisfactory are the displays in the old wing of the building.
