1853 Thomas Hawksley set up in business on his own as consultant engineer.

1854 Thomas's son Charles started work as a pupil in the company

1866 Thomas Hawksley took his son, Charles, into partnership.

1893 Thomas died

1900 Kenneth Phipson Hawksley became a partner with his father, Charles.

1924 Kenneth died. Walter Sery Nicholson became a partner.
