1954 New rolling mills installed at Desford and Wednesfield[1]

1958 New automatic bearing-tube mill commissioned at Desford[2]

1960 Investment to double the capacity for making bearing tubes and other heavy duty steel tubes at Tubes, Ltd, Desford[3]

1967 Developed a 3-roll piercing method of making tubes which improved on the long established Mannesmann 2-roll piercing method[4]

1969 Investment by TI in the Desford works to make the plant the most advanced and integrated works for making roll and bearing tubes[5]

1972 Investment by TI to increase the capacity for making hollow bar at Desford[6]

1974 Manufacturer of hot-rolled hollow bar.[7]

1976 TI Desford Tubes was awarded the Queens Award for Export[8]

1996 One of 3 small subsidiary companies sold by TI Group to Hay Hall Group[9]
