c1835 Born in Lambeth the son of Joshua Field

1861 Telford Field (age 26 born Lambeth), an Engineer. Living in the house of Joseph Maudslay

1863 With his brother, Joshua he inherited a large share in the company on the death of his father.

1871 Living at 18 Kensington Garden Terrace, Paddington (age 36 born Lambeth), an Engineer and Shipbuilder employing about 800 hands. With his wife Clara R. (age 27 born Norwood, Surrey) and their son Telford C. (age 17 born Marylebone), a Scholar, and Florence R. (age 4 born Paddington). Three servants. [1]
