1916 Obituary [1]

THEOPHILUS MICHELL, born on the 13th March, 1852, died at Bournemouth on the 15th February, 1916.

In 1875, after passing through Coopers Hill College and securing practical experience on the Great Western Railway, he was appointed to the Indian Public Works Department, and was posted to the Railway Branch, in which he served until 1898, when he was appointed to the South India Railway. He became Chief Engineer in 1905, and retired in the following year, returning home to reside at Bournemouth.

Mr. Michell was elected an Associate Member on the 4th May, 1880, and was transferred to the class of Members on the 30th January, 1900.
