THOMAS BOWEN JEX-BLAKE, M.A., born at Cheltenham on the 4th February, 1872, died suddenly on the 15th October, 1909, in the Red Sea during the voyage home from India.
After leaving Oxford, he joined the engineering staff of the Great Western Railway.
In 1901 he was selected by Sir Alexander Rendel as an assistant engineer on the East Indian Railway, and was last employed in the Chief Engineer’s office at Calcutta.
Mr. Jex-Blake was elected an Associate Member of The Institution on the 3rd April, 1900.
