THOMAS CHARLES RICHARDSON, born at Croydon on the 27th July, 1884, was killed in action in France on the 5th February, 1916.
He was an assistant to Mr. H. E. Stilgoe, M. Inst. C.E., at Dover and at Birmingham, on municipal work, and in 1909 underwent a course of training as an officer of the Royal Reserve Engineers. In the following year he was appointed to the staff of the Rio de Janeiro City Improvements Colony, where he remained until the outbreak of war.
Before his death he had attained the rank of Major and had gained the Military Cross.
He was elected an Associate Member on the 4th April, 1911.
