THOMAS LEONARD ELLIS died at his residence at Coatbridge on March 27, 1897.
He was the youngest son of the late Thomas Ellis, founder of the North British Ironworks at Coatbridge, and took an active part in the control of those works. He was elected a member of the Iron and Steel Institute in 1884.
