1822 Thomas and William Tyzac (sic), manufacturers of saws, patent scythes, busks and doctors for calico webs, of South Street, Sheffield (Home: Sharrow Lane)[1]
1825 William established his own business W. Tyzack. Thomas continued in his own business.
1837 Manufacturer of saws, busks, calico webs, of Sharrow Lane, Sheffield[2]

1862 Manufacturer of saws, calico webs, saw buckles, files, etc, of Sharrow Lane and Walk Mill, Sheffield; involved Thomas Tyzack, Philip Tyzack, George Tyzack, Benjamin Tyzack[4]
1866 The Partnership between George Tyzack and Benjamin Tyzack, carrying on business at Sharrow-lane, near Sheffield, as Saw Manufacturers, under the style or firm of Thomas Tyzack and Sons, was dissolved by mutual consent; all debts would be received and paid by George Tyzack, who would in future carry on the said business on his own sole and separate account.[5]
1871 "THE estates of Philip Peace, Saw and File Manufacturer, Clydesdale Steel Works, No. 101, Dale street, Glasgow, and carrying on business there under the firm of Thomas Tyzack and Sons, of which firm he is the sole Partner, were sequestrated on the 26th day of June, 1871, by the Sheriff of Lanarkshire."[6]
1873 "In the Matter of Proceedings for Liquidation by Arrangement or Composition with Creditors, instituted by George Sabbas Tyzack, George Tyzack, William Tyzack, and Benjamin Cowle Tyzack, late of North Shields, in the county of Northumberland, Engineers and Ironfounders, Partners in trade, lately trading under the style or firm of Tyzack and Sons, the said George Sabbas Tyzack at present residing at No. 25, Ravenswortb-terrace, in the borough of Gateshead, in the county of Durham, out of business, the said George Tyzack residing at Stourbridge, in the county of Worcester, Manager of Iron Works, the said William Tyzack residing at Goole, in the county of York, Manager of Engine Works, and the said Benjamin Cowle Tyzack, of North Shields aforesaid, Engineer Store Dealer.
"RICHARD HENRY HOLMES, of No. 10, Royal Arcade, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Public Accountant, of the firm of Gillespie, Swithinbank, and Co., has been appointed Trustee of the separate estate and property of the above-named debtor, Benjamin Cowle Tyzack. All persons having in their possession any of the effects of the debtor must deliver them to the trustee, and all debts due to the debtor must be paid to the trustee. Creditors who have not yet proved their debts must forward their proofs of debt to the trustee."[7]
