TOM DRAKE was responsible for a great many improvements in the Linotype machine, and the automatic feeder on printing machines.
He had been associated with Messrs. Linotype and Machinery since his youth, eventually assuming the position of works manager in 1927.
Mr. Drake was also interested in foundry practice. It was due to his efforts that plaster moulding was such a success at his works.
He was born in 1886 and died on 30th September 1931.
He became a Member of the Institution in 1929.
