1894 Fire. 'A destructive fire broke out early this morning in the extensive premises of W. P. Griffith and Sons Limited, Government printers, who occupy the whole of Prujean-square, Old Bailey. The alarm was speedily circulated, and in a comparatively short time fully a dozen steamers and a strong force of the Metropolitan Fire Brigade were at the scene. Meanwhile the flames had burst from the windows, and floor after floor became involved, until at one o'clock the entire structure and its great plant and stock seemed hopelessly doomed, owing to the inaccessibility of the place to tie firemen.'
Sometime around WWII they moved premises from London to Bedford
1971. Proposed that the company be voluntarily wound up. R. Stewart-Smith - Chairman.
