1897 W. and J. George took over F. E. Becker and Co but the 2 parts continued to trade under their original names[2] until 1940s.

1902 One of the petitioners for the winding up of Automatic Views Ltd.[3]

1925 Patent - Improvements in or relating to crucibles. [4]

1933 Patent - Improvements relating to demonstration apparatus. [5]

1937 Listed Exhibitor - British Industries Fair. Laboratory Equipment for all branches of Industrial Research and Routine Tests. Makers of Scientific Instruments, "Nivoc" analytical Balances, Lampblown Glassware, Thermometers, and Apparatus for Gas, Tar and Oil Testing, etc. (Stand No. Cb.715) [6]

1937 Manufacturers of laboratory apparatus and scientific instruments. "Nivoc" Laboratory Apparatus and Instruments. [7]

1940s The business adopted the name of W. and J. George and Becker.

At some point they merged with Robinson, Nelson and Co of Manchester.
