WALTON NOEL OLLIFF-LEE, B.Sc. (Engineering) (Lond.), born at Barrow-in-Furness on the 25th December, 1888, was killed in action on the 25th September, 1915.
After acting for a time as assistant at the City and Guilds College, he joined the engineering staff of the Indented Bar and Concrete Engineering Company, and assisted in the design of various reinforced-concrete structures, acting as Resident Engineer on the construction of a large warehouse at Manchester.
At the outbreak of war he joined the Artists’ Rifles, and subsequently obtained a commission in the 1st South Staffordshire Regiment.
He was elected an Associate Member on the 21st April, 1914.
